We’ve made it back to the weekend, Fabbies.  And I’ve got some goodies to share.

It seems a few new gifts have snuck under the radar at COCO Designs recently.  If you wander off towards the side of the store (not the middle section with all the usual group gifts), you’ll see there’s another little low wall with more gifts on it (I’ve linked directly to that spot, so hopefully it should help you find them).  I found the open backed ruched top in a very springy pink, as well as some other newer ones (like a sweet pair of low heels).  I paired the top with a previous gift they have in the middle of the store – the floral skinny jeans.  The COCO group is free to join, and you can really get a whole new wardrobe in just one stop here.   I’ll always keep them among my groups!

Axolotl

Squeeeeeeee!  I knew one day this Axolotl headband I bought would come in handy, I just knew it, and today is that day!

You may or may not recognize that I name all my blog posts after song titles (and I put the YT video on the FLICKR post if any of you want to find new music).  How was I ever going to find a song that relates to Axolotls? lol  I spent hours (and am still doing it now) singing the lyrics I changed to ‘I want an Axolotl for Christmas’ (because it’s similar in cadence to hippopotamus?)   I hope that gets stuck in your head, as it has mine 😉  Nonetheless, there are a few songs, and the title of today’s song is indeed titled Axolotl.

Squeaks!

Did you know they squeak?  They don’t have vocal cords, but they make sounds through their gills.  Well, I squeaked when I saw this outfit on FLICKR (and Aline added it to Fab Finds HERE)  I HAD to blog it though, because when I went to the Akikazu store to pick it up, I joined the group for free, and grabbed the rest of her gifts, so I also brought home these Axolotl earrings!  But first, the dress 😉

This is a 2 piece outfit that comes with the top and tutu skirt separately.  It reminds me of one of the stores I frequent, so I was excited to add this to my inventory for free.  I did ballet as a child, but didn’t develop a penchant for tutus until I was too old to wear them 😛  It comes in this beautiful peachy color and is sized for:

I hadn’t been to this store before, and don’t know how long she leaves gifts out for, but I did learn she’s also the owner of Cafe Sympa.  Akikazu makes original mesh items, so it’s now a store I’ll be shopping at often!  This is how gifts inspire my Second Life, I learn about most of my favorite designers through their gifts, so to our designers, I just want to say Thank You! ♥

Black Dragon has NOT been my friend lately – first stealing all of my inventory and refusing to give it back, and then finally relenting at the cost of *all* of my viewer settings, including graphic preferences.😞 I would almost rather have not been able to load inventory. But the show must go on, so here we are.

Unique And Expensive Mesh Head… For Free?

Strong Woman

How many of us own this head but tried it but it looked anything but feminine with it?

Well, these days I’ve decided that I’ll try different heads and bodies for my posts. I like challenges although then I’m so busy I can’t really keep up with my primary tasks 😛

So this time I tried to fit the Strong mesh head by Genus project, which is great and free! The only thing you need to do is to join their group for free and click on the wall. Easy peasy! you have 4 gifts:  the head, couple of skins and a tattoo. So if you want to try a new style, give this one another chance, you wont look like everyone else, that is for sure. You will probably not like it at the beggining but if you try it with the right shape, everything changes.

The skin is also one of the group gifts on the wall ! I think it gives a lot to the look. It’s BOM and has different brows.

One month ago Mimitu had this 50L promo shape. So this month the promo is for a shape made specifically for Strong head. It makes you look confident, smart and full of life. Like a boss.

So you have one excuse less to not like this look. 🙂

I am a member of so many subscribers in SL, and while I get inundated with notices and notecards and textures all day, it means I rarely miss out on a gift, especially a cute one, so that’s what brings me here today.

Dollarbie Day!

I received a notecard last week from +Psycho Barbie+ letting me know there was a new gift available for the Teleport Hub group, and since I always stay in that group I TP’d over lickity split to find this awesome dress in a fatpack!  10L might be 10 dollarbies but it’s such a small cost for such a nice gift. 😉

This is the Vivian Dress, and it comes with a full fatpack of textures.  There’s a wide range of black and colored crosses (which come with a lace garter attached) and a few grey and black textures, the animal print I’m showing you today is one.  It comes for a whole bunch of sizes too!

Accessorize on the free and cheap!

I was shopping over at the Foxcity SIM a few weeks ago and notices that keikumu had some free gifts packaged in with a few of their demos, which is where I picked up this gothy eye look.  This is the Nafta eye look and you can pick it up completely free in their store.  You’ll see it advertised as Demo+Gift.  There’s 2 of these gifts available.  They come in BOM for EvoX mapped skins.

The shoes I’m wearing are a gift from Wellmade, on Marketplace.  They cost 1L to purchase.  Part of the shoe I wasn’t able to get in the shot is the heel, which is a wood texture (adore).  These Bea Heels come with a full fatpack hud to change the look of the wooden heels as well as the straps.  They’re a great staple for any inventory!

My nails were also 1L on the Marketplace!  They are from JNS, and they are an incredibly pretty set of nails.  Almost like a long French manicure with a black and yellow daisy design on some fingers.  You can see the nail design better when you click on the Marketplace link 😉  I’m surely going to use these to accessorize a lot of outfits.
